In ancient time medicines (formulation) were mainly prepared by the physicians themselves. Formulations are prepared by changing ingredients as per the need of patients and as per the availability of drugs. Therefore sometimes many references are found for the preparation of same formulation. As per the rule of Drug and cosmetic act related to packaging and labeling of medicine needs reference, because sometimes as per method, medicine changes their action. So here an attempt was made to review all the references of Tuttha. Tuttha is a mineral and chemically copper sulfate that has been indicated in various diseases from skin diseases to eye diseases. Tuttha is one of the oldest materials, know to india, the references of which are available in Charaka Samhita and Susruta Samhita. Tuttha and Sasyaka were extensively used in Rasa granthas. It origin was Garuda, Consumed Amrta after drinking poison and vomittted on Marakata mountain. This vomitus solidified and turn into Sasyaka and Colored has mayuraskanthaand it is Very heavy Rasajalanidhi describes these synonyms as Sasyaka is naturally produced compound while Tutthaka is artificially prepared compound, and both can be used in the unavailability of other. Novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) has raised worldwide concern since its first ever report in Wuhan, Hubei, China in December, 2019. PHEI- (Public Health Emergency of International concern) announced by WHO in January. The same pandemic started in India from March 2020 onwards. The purpose was aimed at analysing the protection offered by Kabasura Kudineer (KSK), an official Siddha formulation recommended in the Ministry of AYUSH advisory, to a group of High risk population, in Facility quarantine. All the primary contacts of both the groups were tested after Six days of Quarantine. KSK was distributed to intervention group from day one of quarantine. The primary contacts of Covid positive cases in the intervention group tested negative for Covid 19 in first and second tests taken. Secondary contacts also tested negative and they didn’t undergo for repeat testing. This study concluded that the primary contacts who took Kabasura Kudineer answered negative for both the tests and had a chance of protection. Contrarily 11.9% in non-intervention group became positive with Corona Virus infection on their first day test. However both the groups had a time of six days within which the non-intervention group became positive.

The science of Ayurveda aims at promoting healthy life through prevention of disease and effective management of disease without harming the individual. Panchakarma therapy is the set of five procedure which helps in detoxifying the body and making it healthy and stable. Nasya karma is one among the panchakarma procedure in which medicines is administration through the nasal route. It is otherwise known as sirovirechana (detoxification of head). Nasya karma is aims at detoxification of vitiated doshas from the head and neck region. Nasya is divided into five types according to method of administration i.e. Navana, Avapeedana, Dhmapana, Dhuma,Pratimarsha. The procedure of giving Nasya therapy may be classified into the following three heading –Purvakarma, Pradhanakarma and Paschatkarma. Nasa is gate way to Shirah, the drug administration through nostrils reaches Shringataka, a shiramarma by Nasa Srota and spreads in the Murdha( Brain), taking route of Netra, Shrotra, Kantha and stretches the morbid Doshas from Urdhwajatru and expels them from Uttamanga.

There are several medicinal plants practiced by traditional healers of various ethnic groups to treat hypertension and its related complications. Thus, scientific investigation and a comprehensive survey of folk medicinal plants used for hypertension treatment in the Thoubal district of Manipur was performed. Field visits to certain villages of the district was performed. During which traditional healers of each ethnic group were requested for the knowledge of herbal practice for treating hypertension. We also interviewed many patients suffering from hypertension on evidence-based information. In total, 90 medicinal plants belonging to 44 families were reported as being used for the treatment of hypertension. The most frequently mentioned plants have been Allium hookeri, Allium sativum, Ammomum aromaticum, Anaphalis contorta, Centella asiatica, Clerodendrum chinense, Clerodendrum colebrookianum, and Oenentha javanica. Amongst the plant parts, leaves (40) are maximally used followed by fruit (20), whole plant (8), rhizome (6), seeds (4), flower (3), bulb (2), Tuber (1), fruiting body (1), root (1), vine (1), bark (1), petiole (1) and peel (1). The study emanating from traditional and indigenous peoples' knowledge shall be helpful for further experimental and clinical studies.
